Who am I, and what is Paba Software

Dear reader,

I'm a Software Engineer who has worked, among others, at Amazon AWS (as Software Engineer) and Google (as Strategic Cloud Engineer). See my full bio in my Linkedin page for more information on my professional career.

Paba Software is not a real company, it's a product of my imagination, created when I was a young kid during the 80s and I was writing my first software programs on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

Those were my first steps in computer programming, and I will always cherish the memories of the countless hours I spent in front of these amazing machines, trying to squeeze everything I could from the last byte of available memory.

Then came the 90s, and with them came Linux and the World Wide Web. It was cool to have your own webserver running at home, with your personal website, and to set up a mail server to manage your mail on your personal domain... and so the Paba Software website was born.

It's been a long time since then... I graduated in Computer Science, I started developing software professionally, personal websites and blogs were replaced by social media, then came Cloud Computing, and now it's all about AI... things changed a lot of times, and I changed with them.

So, what is Paba Software? Maybe one day I will create a real company named like that... or maybe not... whatever. For now, it's something that represents my personal work and reminds me of all the things I've done through 40 years of computer history, most of which I would never have imagined when I was a kid and I first sat in front of a home computer, wondering what it was and what you could do with that strange box with a typewriter keyboard attached to a TV set.
